Dan,

I use paint thinner or mineral spirits. It is fairly cheap and can be found
anywhere.

Subject: Solvent for Parts Cleaner?

Hi Listers,

I purchased a parts cleaner several months back and stuck it on a shelf in
my storage room. Been sitting there in the unopened box until today. I
opened the box and went ahead with assembling the thing. Now I am wondering
what do most people use in them to clean their auto parts without causing
any damage to any parts? Used to have one in the shop of one of my
businesses but that has been many years ago and all I contract it out to a
local company. Now I have a 20 gal. home /shop parts cleaner and would like
to use it to clean some of my auto parts. Any suggestions as to what
chemical cleaner I should use in the thing?

Thanks,
Dan Eiland
