I saw one of the 12 cyl versions while touring the engine room of an American 
Presidents Line container ship in Oakland CA.  Three foot bore/eight foot 
stroke, and no clutch!  This engines are direct drive through a ~3 foot dia 
prop shaft, so if the engine is turning, so is the 30 foot screw.  I think idle 
was 65 rpm, and max close to 120.  Fuel is low grade bunker oil that has to be 
heated substantially (a couple hundred degrees) before getting to the 
cylinders.
