First, thanks to everyone who chimed in on this subject.

I realize it's not the end of the world, after all it's only a car, it just
put a dent in my world. I know there are people out there suffering real
hardships, like the U.S. soldiers and people of Iraq (and others all around
the globe). This week I attended a funeral for a high school friend's father
who was called to heaven unexpectedly.

Also my son and I could have been seriously hurt but the good Lord spare my
family from that.

Unfortunatlely this has also started a chain reaction hitting close to home.
Nearly 30 years ago my grandfather died in a house fire so my mom expects me
to sell the Tiger and never go near an old car again.

My wife was nearly killed in an auto accident a dozen years ago and her
coming to pick me and my son up (seeing the police and fire trucks) has
really shaken her. So my son will be losing his old car ride priviledges
indefinately. Of course my car will be out of commission indefinately due to
the wonderful economic times we are living in currently.

I visted the impound yard today and the car comes home monday. The damage is
extensive but the car cetainly repairable (nothing a wheel barrel of money
can't cure). I better start playing the lottery. Most of the engine
compartment looks good, the underside looks good, trunk good, interior not
so good. I guess this fall and winter I will have to strip things down, try
& keep the rust away and go from there.

Opinions and thoughts on this are always welcome...sell whole? part out?
find a donor vehicle to repair? anyone with any cheap parts for sale?

thanks again,
Paul
