Actually, there are Windows binaries available, as well as the Linux source
code. There's even a Mac version. However, for the Tiger model to work
correctly you need the latest beta version available here: HYPERLINK
"http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=180523&page=1"http://forum.rscnet.
org/showthread.php?t=180523&page=1. Download these two files: HYPERLINK
"http://forum.rscnet.org/attachment.php?s=c825b96b82b8f4e378247cd52275433c&a
ttachmentid=236858"rr052b73.zip and HYPERLINK

ttachmentid=240147"rr05275.zip

If you get the beta version there isn't an installer, but all that's needed
is to unzip the files into a folder on your drive and run the configuration
program (config.exe), and the racer executable (racer.exe) from there. No
DLL's are registered, and nothing needs to be copied into the Windows
folders so no installer is really needed.

Per,

Interesting .NL site. Needed to download program "RACER" on the page, but
could not connect to site link:

HYPERLINK "http://www.racer.nl/"http://www.racer.nl/

However it is written in Linux "source code", and needs various file
decompressors ("tar") and other computer specialist code operations.
There is a note that you "May be able to get it to work for Windows/Mac"

"There have been misunderstandings about the source code in the past time.
This project is NOT Open Source. The source code IS and will REMAIN for the
oncoming time copyright (c) of Ruud van Gaal / Dolphinity BV. The source
code is provided for general interest, and to build platform-specific
versions (for Linux mainly) in case the provided binaries don't work.

All suggested changes to the source code will be reviewed by me, but before
you do that, realise that the source code will remain copyrighted. Fixes are
appreciated of course, but I would advise against putting much into bigger
things."

Another version, (previous site page, released "18-01-04" was "pulled"
because of their server overload (apparently works on-line, not locally).
Promise more fully polished code when available.

Thanks for the "heads-up", and I will Bookmark the site and check to see if
they have released a friendlier version.

Steve
