My E-type has a repro plate, and the original is in the safety deposit 
box.  This is what everyone does in that community.  Of course, they 
don't have to worry about somebody who converted an XJS or something ;-).

Over on that listserve right now, they are bemoaning an error on the 
repro plate, and the lack of stamps with the proper font, and are 
cajoling each other into somebody making a new one.  No talk about 
rivets yet ;-)...
