Frank,

You didn't try my recommendation of putting the half size Pep Boys unit 
on the inside of the fender, just ahead of the tank, which works well too.

for location, source, and manufacturer.  There is another one, in 
parallel, on the other side of the fender well. but you really don't 
need two.
