Curt is correct, with one more addition, as far as I remember. If you
special ordered a car fresh from Rootes, you could order the hard top
painted the same color as the rest of the car, no matter what version of
Tiger or Alpine you bought.
I wish I had bought a few extra hard tops back then for $100 extra each!
