Hi,

I know this has been covered and that there is an article on TU (thanks
Steve) but I'm going to ask anyway...

How much of a '96 Mustang GT long block can I retain,, or must I retain for
use in a Tiger?

Here is the deal, my motor suffered an unfortunate accident a few months
ago. My life is incredibly busy these days (don't ever let anyone tell you
that you will have more time if you work from home as an consultant) and I
realize that the only way I'm getting the car back on the road any time soon
is to shotgun the whole engine. I'm picking up a relatively low mileage '96
5.0L motor and T5 out of a Mustang this afternoon. This motor is complete,
water pump to tailshaft seal, with all accessories. I've got a couple of
friends lined up and we are going to do a weekend crash swap. One weekend
is all the time I can afford right now. The broken 331 stroker will then
have to sit until I find the time to tear it down and fix it.

My main concerns are,

Will the 5.0L water pump, front cover, damper work in the Tiger? What is
the minimum I need to change up front?

What about the flywheel? I'm using a 28oz balance flywheel on the stroker,
I believe the late 5.0L is 50 oz, correct? Will the starters interchange?

Anything else I need to be prepared for?

Thanks!
