Hey, Ron, good sites (all except that ch*vy one <grin>)... Isent the
trans mission folk a question about what appears to be an offset shifter
on the front web page. Hope to hear back soon and will post reply. Also
the Rotex turbo supercharger. Now I gotta ask, what is the rationale for
this? You can already by just about any kind of centrifugal supercharger
you would ever want, so what is the attraction with this? It looks to be
about a T03 size (did they have a compressor map?). But the planetary
drive is really ancient! My old 1954 Kiaser had a supercharger with a
planetary ball drive like this one. Nothing new. Oh and it was also
variable speed, boost on demand. I am really against putting
supercharger drive belts on the front end of crankshafts because it
causes harmonics and benmding loads that are not supposed to be there.
Plus a belt driven system takes horsepower off the crank...horsepower
that should be at the flywheel. And if you use the aggressive exhaust
lobes to open sooner and dump the exhaust you unload the top of the
piston and that in itself is somewhat harmful. Me I am going to stick
with the exhaust driven turbo, plumbing hassels and all..
