Have been following the cam/oil woes over the past month or so. Removed my 302
solid cam the other day and installed a hydraulic comp cam mild grind
(.493,.500 with 220 duration @ .050).

Used lots of cam lubricant on cam, lifters etc, used break in additive and 30
weight diesel pennzoil to break in. Left the windage tray in - fired on first
crank - so far (about 20 miles) no problem -will keep you posted. Drained the
30 wt and replaced with 10-40 diesel pennzoil.

I would like to get a carb with a bit more adjustability than the 600 holley I
currently run. I have tried avengers twice (both had quality control issues ).
I would like to use a demon but can't see how to fit one under my stock (no
scoop) hood. They are too long and touch the firewall and are also a bit too
tall.

I would welcome guidance on the carb issue. I am sure many have had similar
problems - would like to hear solutions.
