I'll second Stu's method... you might be able to go a little quicker 
with something like a credit card or a putty knife to push the rubber 
piece into the channel, but be careful about slipping with any tool 
you're using there. The process takes long enough that most any glue you 
use there would set up before you got the job done. The SS rubber piece 
fit is good enough that glue isn't necessary - at  least in my case.
