I have been using Dot 5 silicon since 1985. My booster which I rebuilt in 85 
still works without degrading. The clutch also is without problem. I may 
strip down the clutch hydraulics which is easy to do and try Dot 4 just to 
see the difference. No free lunch.  Gary  B9472283
