Steve,

A good reference for the correct Ford part numbers for that Ford
Industrial engine based 260/289 block casting, with alterations in the
bore and wall thickness, can be found on TigersUnited.com, under Factory
Parts List:

http://www.tigersunited.com/resources/parts_rs260/FactParts.asp

This block is NOT the same as the "260" Ford made for their small
passenger cars. Exceptions might be the early 260 Mustang and the First
Cobra, Even the block is shaped like a 289 style, without the scalloped
cylinder walls, as in the Comet. Trust the Rootes descriptions, and
Part Numbers over other "260" type answers if you want to know what Ford
supplied, you are starting with. NO scalloped cylinder walls on either
block side.

Good luck,

Steve
