Thanks Steve, I have bought a couple of things from Rick and been very
pleased.... I want to make that clear, his stuff is NICE, no doubt about it ..
I wouldnt compare Rick's stuff to VicBrit...I know the difference...I just
noticed that there are only a few people selling sunbeam stuff in the
u.s.....like it seems like you can count them on one hand, unlike other car
retailers, like street rods and musclecars and cobra replica guys, where you
have literally hundreds of places to shop for stuff....and I wanted to know
what all my choices are, and make sure Im not missing one of Rick's
competitors. Its just a business question really, like are there any sunbeam
sources besides CAT, SS, and VB....and eBay... I know that Sunbeams arent as
widely known as the cars i mentioned...but I thought I would ask. Plus i have
family that have mechanic's shops and stuff and they can often buy at
wholesale costs...directly from the distributor, not the retailer...so if that
was available I would want to know.

Thats basically the reason for my inquiry

Cullen

Cullen,

I can't speak for all of Rick's parts, but I do know he will only carry
high quality parts, unlike some other marketers (VB) who go for the
biggest margin. I do know, for certain, that he has parts made for him,
or in conjunction with CAT for minimum quantity or volume cost
considerations. For instance their combined special run with CAT for
Koni adjustable shock absorbers for the Tiger/Alpine.

While he did use English suppliers, previously, for many parts. They
are now mostly made in the USA.

Rick also has literature such as the Work Shop Manual he graciously
contributed to TigersUnited.com
And also has the original molds for the LAT aluminum valve covers for
his source, and many other things made to order.

Check him out at: http://www.rootes.com/

A happy customer.

Steve
