At what speed do you get 28 MPG?
Just as a reference point, the last time I checked the mileage, I got 26
MPG with;
* 302 CID Ford crate motor with 10/1 Compression
* Holley 600 CFM Carburetor with #65 Jets and no special economy
tuning
* Vacuum Advance
* 5 Speed with .6 Overdrive and 2.88 Rear Gears
* Loaded with two adults and as much luggage as the car will hold
* Mostly interstate highway
* 70/75 MPH with Cruise control
* Top up
I'm sure I could improve the mileage with a smaller carburetor.
