Sounds about right for the resistance readings. However, the actual voltage it
puts out will depend on whether or not the points are sticky or dirty, and how
much spring there is in the bimetal strip.
On my solid-state regulator, the 12V inputs are labeled IGN, between the two
inputs. It's equivalent to the B terminal on the old regulator (their term,
"Battery").
The 10V output on my regulator is labeled 10V, between the two outputs. It's On
the old one, it's labeled I, for "Instruments".
My regulator has one extra output (a single spade lug) that can be used to
connect to the original warning lamp if you don't want to use the LED.
If you use my regulator and you have two wires (green) going to the two input
spade lugs, then you should connect a separate wire between those two spade
lugs. Otherwise an overload in whatever is downstream of the regulator will fry
the internal connection between those two lugs.
Apparently some wiring harnesses, like my late Mk1A, only have one green wire
going to the I terminal.
Hope this helps - sorry for not replying earlier to your question about the
regulator but I was out of the country and then the email slipped my mind.
