Marc,

I think you have halogen lights confused with HID lights. Halogen gives better
light without causing problems for other drivers, even on twisty two-lane
roads.

The HID (high intensity discharge) lights are the ones that are horrible for
other drivers, even though they are now allowed under federal law. The
aftermarket ones are even worse. Louisiana recently outlawed HID lights unless
they were installed as factory stock.

These halogen bulbs are nasty, unnecessary, and
ought to be illegal.  Here in this land of twisty
two-lane roads, they are guarenties to cause a
wreck.  Evil and stupid.  I have no idea what
idiot permitted them on US roads.  Out
west?  Different thing entirely but, here on the
Least Coast, they are simply certified to cause death.  Get rid of them.
