I have to say, though it's been many many years, like 20 years at least, I
know that I once got my keys done on my Alpine at the local hardware
store.  So, I have to believe that while they may be harder to find these
days, at one time they were a more common stock.  So there may be other
suppliers than our marque vendors (as much as I support them at every turn).
