I'm in the process of hooking up the harness around the dashboard and
have hit a snag with the ignition switch. I've wired it up per the
diagram in Dan Master's electrical manual, (thanks Dan - it's a great
resource), but the warning buzzer goes whenever I open the door, even
though the key is not in the switch. If I move the key about 5 degrees
from horizontal the buzzing stops, but when I move it a bit further it
sounds again.

I've connected the black ground lug from the switch to the speedometer
mount where its ground lug is connected. Is the the proper location to
connect it? Is that part of the problem?

Is it the key switch, or the ignition switch behind it? I think the
contacts inside the ignition switch are the problem but I don't want to
removeit again, that key surround is such a bear to put back together.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob K
