Wick---A straight forward 3-angle valve grind is all you'll need for all
but the most heavily modified TR6 engine.  If new guides are called for,
go with the ones with the bronze alloy.   There's pros and cons
regarding the 'hardened inserts', and our engines really do not need
these, unless repeatedy revved beyond 5,000 rpms, or cammed radically
with heavy return springs.  Don't believe the 'scare tactics' as seen in
some of our supplier ads.

Have the head rebuilder ream out the new guides for .001 valve stem
clearance.  

You can have the springs tested for the pressures as rated in the data
section in the Bentley (or other) manual.
