Hi Hugh:

Read your post regarding .750" wheel cylinders, after spending the last
several weeks searching for them, I can report they're as rare as hen's
teeth! Both sizes are listed in TRFs catalog. I spoke with John Swauger
at TRF last week, and he indicated that both the .700" and .750" are on
backorder from their source in Germany. He sounded positive about
getting more in stock, but thought it would be at least another couple of
months for the .750". He said he was expecting some .700" cylinders soon
(approximately 50) but they were all spoken for via backorders.

The guy at British Racing Green indicated that they were used on Big
Healeys, but that's the first I've ever heard of that application (I'm
not a Healey fan). I'm unsure of any other application, but they may be
cross-referenced in a Girling parts catalog somewhere (Girling #
64674597). My Lucas box has the part number BWD249, ands also references
Rover, Talbot, and Vauxhall part numbers (GWC1112, 5041275, and 7216780,
respectively??)

I tracked one down with Doug Braden, so now I have two (no excuses for
not being on the road now!) THANKS to all the others on the list who
offered advice (esp. Nelson in Granville!) As you are aware, the .750"
cylinders are not listed at all in Moss or Vicky Brit. TRF indicates
that these were used possibly on the last '76 TR6s, and Doug Braden
seemed to agree. Thoughts anyone?

A question to the guys reporting rocker pedestal failure with a high lift
cam....what kind of lift are you guys running?? What types of failure -
do the bolts pull out of the head or do the pedestals break apart??
I've been running a .425" lift cam with double valve springs since '94
with no apparent problems......no racing other than quater mile drags,
but I don't drive like granny either!

Thanks in advance!
