I just purchased my 74 TR 6. I have been changing hoses, fluids, and Oil
Filter Adapter. I noticed fuel leaking from the bottom of one of the carbs.
The Haynes manual shows that the plug in the bottom of the carb has an O
ring. It seems that this plug is just pressed into the carb by hand? As a
matter of fact, the plug on this carb rotates easily and seems to be the
source of my leak. The leak also seems more pronounced when the fuel tank
is more than 3/4 full. My question is can I just pull this plug out and
replace the O ring?

PS Save the O Ring on the old oil filter canister. It makes a great
replacement gasket for the outside mirror!
