Jay---Do what you have to do to get a good clutch action. (Release point
up from the floor) You can see what the real culprit is the next time
you are inside. Again, you can make up for a little bit of wrong
positioning of the fork pin by either making the SC rod longer, OR
spacing the SC towards the rear. The vertical position of the clutch
shaft operating arm will tell you how much you need to go.

For those tuning in who have not had this experience, please note that
this is a rare thing, and is not the thing to do for the  typical
failure of the clutch to disengage.
