Don,

I bought the whole interior for my TR-6 and am extremely satisfied with my
purchase. Wool carpets, Vinyl seat covers, seat foam, boot cover and mohair
top. All of excellent quality. He even asked the color of my car so that he
can put the same color piping on the boot cover to match my car.

List,

There were some questions about the quality of John Skinner's carpets
some time back.

I e-mailed John and requested some samples -- they came yesterday.

I found them to be better than the original equipment in my TR250 (I am
the original owner).

The thickness of the nap on the samples did, however, vary with the
color. For example, black had the shortest nap, and measured just under
4/16" from the bottom of the backing. The original carpets in my TR250
(black) measured only 3/16". His red sample measured 5/16", and medium
blue was 4/16".

My guess is that there is simply some variation from lot to lot. I doubt
that one color or another is consistently different, but that is only my
speculation.

There were also leather and vinyl samples. They appeared to be of high
quality, but I had nothing with which to compare them.
