John,

I've heard of a trick but never used it myself. Fill the cavity with heavy
grease, then find something like a socket that tightly fits the ID of the
bushing. Slide the socket in and hit it with a hammer. I'm sure it will make
a mess, but the shock should push the bushing out.

Help!! How does one remove the pilot bushing? Does the flywheel have to
be taken off first? Is there a puller? Where can it be had?
I was told of the trick to fill the cavity with grease and then use a grease
gun to "pump" it out but that just made a mess. Should I have taken the
flywheel off first?

Thanks,
John
