Thanks all for the quick responses, looks like the machine shop didn't take
off enough to significantly change the compression. The head measured 3.452"
which is a little over 8.5:1 compression. I was hoping for at least 9:1.

Thanks again
Richard

I have a 1969 TR6 which had the head shaved when rebuilt ,but I don't know
how
much was taken off 15 years ago. Is there a way to measure the thickness of
the head and to come up with some sort of compression figures?

TIA
