A few years ago I went through the Belgium Customs records for Triumphs
assembled in Belgium. These records are held by the BMIHT at Gaydon and give
the date that the CKD kit left the UK, commission and engine numbers, the date
that the car was assembled and its country of destination. One TR6 is listed
with its destination as Canada, it had commission number ICP76385. There were
also 35 x TR6 listed with destination USA. Don't ask me how they circumvented
the emmission controls of the time and whether or not they eventually ended up
in the US.
The commission nos of the US cars were as follows. It would be interseting to
know if any still exist. ICP25365, 26552, 50052, 50125, 50837, 50844, 51001,
51880, 51988, 53198, 53200 - 209, 53413, 53396, 75233, 75176-78, 75180-84,
75186, 75187, 75491, 75502, 75507, 76382
