Ken---These inspections can be frustrating, even when all emissions
parts are in order there's always that nagging doubt. The air pump
should help raise the percent of oxygen in the tail pipes. There have
been a few owners on the list who have removed theirs, so used ones
might still be available.
While there are said to be some advantages with the Pertronics over the
points triggering system, I kind of doubt it would help lower HC, which
is the product of too much fuel "left over", or incomplete combustion.
