thanks for all the suggestions.... then winner is..
well I ended up doing a combination of things:
the flared wrenches, short handled wrenches and the
claw that fits on the end of a socket wrench.
I used the block of wood and the claw to bust it loose
and then the combination of the flared wrench and my
short handled the rest of the way.
This reminds me of the ad I saw on Ebay descibing a
TR6 and the seller suggested if you don't have a 1000
piece tool set don't bother to bid.
Now I only 900 peices to go.
