Mark,

Here's a very ollld storey.

My mom always had problems like that with our 1939 LaSalle.  We'd go
somewhere, it ran fine, then it wouldn't start.  Phone call to dad, he comes
over (bout a half to an hour later) jump in and crank it right over.  Really
ticked my mom off.

Found the problem to be a real bad case of vapor lock
