        Drew:

I use Hagerty (www.hagerty.com). They have no upper mileage limit, but
there are
several limitations:

        1. The car must be more than 25 (?) years old
        2. The car must be garaged in an enclosed structure (cannot park it on
street or in driveway).
        3. You must present proof that you have another insured vehicle as your
main transportation.
        4. You must state that you do not routinely drive it to/from work.
        5. No one under 25 years of age may drive the vehicle.

In exchange for all of this you get:

        1. 0 deductible (that's right, $0.)
        2. You get to declare the value of the vehicle (they accept your
statement of worth, and if
it gets totaled, they write you a check for the full value).
        3. Ridiculously cheap premiums (My TR6 is $120 a year).
        4. Collision and comprehensive, plus towing insurance.

        Vance

PS I should state that I have never filed a claim. So I cannot state
whether or not they
are easy to deal with in the event of a claim. They could be a real
pain in the neck
when it comes to paying claims. I just don't know.

List,
After just recently modifying my 1976 TR6 a bit, I believe I am going to
register (and insure it) as a "classic". Up to now I have successfully
struggled to have it meet New Jersey's strict emission standards (getting
more strict as we speak!) and have registered/insured it as a "daily
driver". I'm giving up. Any suggestions on who tends to offer the best
"classic" auto policies with the most "liberal" mileage allowance?

Thanks,

Drew
