        Mike:

I concur. I used a hand powered ez bleed. The results are
unsatisfactory with the silicone fluid. Too many air bubbles. I had to
go back and bleed the brakes the old fashioned way after bleeding them
with the EZ bleed. The bubbles settle out fairly quickly, but during the
bleeding process you cannot make them go away so you cannot get a good
bleed.
I don't regret going with silicone DOT 5. It just requires some
different methods to get it working properly.

I don't recommend using the ez bleed with silicone. It will force air
bubbles into the silicone fluid (on a microscopic level). This makes the
fluid less effective and you will have less travel in the slave cylinder
compared to the travel of the master cylinder. Silicone is known for
saving paint and not absorbing moisture but the lesser known fact of air
absorption is usually not discussed.
If you must use silicone bleed it normally. I depress the pedal and use
a prop rod between the seat and pedal/bleed/repeat process or beg my
wife or Mark Pruitt to help me.
