I'm just finishing up the rebuild on my '71 GT6 MKIII. WOO HOO! My
intention is to tour the lower 48 states for the next few months to
break her in.

I've got a few parts left over that may be of use to fellow listers
the first few of which are listed below. I also have lingering
questions, inevitable at the end of such a long process. I hope one
of the many kind wizards of this list will be able to enlighten me.

Wiring is not my strong suit but I think I've just about sorted
everything out but the heater motor wiring. I say "I think" because
I've yet to connect the battery! At present I've connected the
shorter wire from the heater box to the dash fan control. This leaves
me with two much longer wires, one green one black. I know the black
is ground and the green is hot but I don't know where to connect the
female disconnects.

I need to put on new rotoflex couplings. I have the couplings and
I've done the job before but I have neither the tools nor the room to
do it myself this time. Having done it before I know how easy it is
to bend or mushroom an axle. Does anyone out there know of a
competent experienced shop in the San Francisco Bay Area that can do
this job correctly?

The parts:

'71 GT6 front valence, minimal rust, faded signal red, fits, complete
with angled body mounting fitting. With minimal bending, sanding, and
paint could be as new.
$10

Screw on oil filter adapter with oil cooler takeoff. Excellent
condition, seals getting old but they still seal. Might want to
replace or anneal the copper washer although it still seals fine. New
Fram oil filter included, I think this may fit the TR6 also.
$30
Before you ask, yes I have the oil cooler lines and oil cooler but I
spun a rod bearing with this cooler setup on. I wouldn't wish my
scarf on another. My research indicates that it would cost as much to
have them properly cleaned as a new setup would cost. If you know
different and want the cooler set-up email me.

Please add actual shipping charges to the above prices. If you think
I'm asking too much money make me an offer. Heck if you've got a good
sob story send it along and you may just get it free.

GT6 '71 Hiback seats. Two sets both black. These are the later GT6
seats with the integral headrest. Both have original pattern seat
covers. One set is original to the car and looks like it, shot foams,
some rips and wear, non functioning slides etc. A definite rebuild
project. The other pair has "new" covers (slight restored damage to
the passenger side rear headrest), excellent mechanicals, excellent
seat foams, and the worst job of "stuffing" foam in the back rest you
can imagine. I think the DPO tried to use a blow in insulation of
1/4" squares of recycled open cell foam. Obviously need new back rest
foams.
I think these will fit in any GT6 or Spitfire.
Both pairs $FREE. You must however pick-up from my location in San Francisco.

I will have more parts in the near future. If you need something in
particular just email me.
