search for "brake paint", than narrow it down by brand or color - $8.25 a
can seems not bad
Coincidentally, i had already found this and decided to order some clear
before reading this thread.
I ordered the Aluminum drums from TRF - likes Bob's, mine were scratched by
the careless, thoughtless idiot who sliced open the boxes. My scratches are
perfectly placed to be totally visible behind my 4-spoke American Racing
wheels. I'm going to blast them (the drums) with a really fine grit abrasive
(just
the out-facing side) which will leave them shinier than they are now and
eliminate the scratches - then spray on the VHT and cure at 200 for an hour.
I'll preheat them at 200 for an hour before I start - just to eliminate the
possibility of anything out-gassing from the Al under the paint while curing.
Yeah, it'll be a lot of trouble to go to - the downside of being an anal
perfectionist i guess.
