Bob,
Somebody somewhere told me that you could make one out of steel strapping
used on a rack of bricks. I tried and was successful. The trick is to leave
a nice long handle so you have plenty of length to pull with both hands with
a bend/loop going back down. This is difficult to describe. You have a
straight length of maybe 2 feet, with a little bend 180 degrees at the
bottom, leaving only maybe a half inch to the end and wide enough to hold
the scraper clip. At the top leave it long and loop it back down so you can
really grab it good with a loop for your top hand, with the tail heading
back down so your bottom hand can grab both ends.
