Someone pointed out that if one of the electronical things in my Alpine
system was drawing excessive power, that the ammeter would be pulled
negative, not positive. So, the fact that my ammeter is staying at 15 is
not an indication that there is another device that has failed (unless it
is MAKING power!). It could mean that something is still wrong with the
new battery. Does any of this make sense to anyone?
I'm going to try that new ground strap and a battery my dad has that he
says is still a good gel battery.
