Bob,
It all depends on the club you want to race with. Check out THEIR rule book
first and also talk with drivers in THAT club. For sure, no V-6 swap would
be allowed. A 1725 in an early Series car would probably get by (you may or
may not be exactly legal though). You may not even be able to use Webers, as
some on the list have been looking for 1960's printed documentation for that
"option". Most groups want you to keep it original, as would've been raced
back then. New safety gear (and roll bar/cage) is, of course, needed.
