Hi Steve,
    I finished the (horrible) sea crest green Series II Alpine.  (see last
months feature story on http://sunbeamalpine.org .
I think the green he's talking was the factory colors for the racing team
that year.  I think it's a great color, like a friend of mine that has a
black Tiger Mk 1a always says, "It's Not Red".  And since I also have that
red Series IV, I think that anything that is not red looks good, well all
Alpines look good no matter what color they are.  BTW, I'm glad you can live
with the green.  Excuse the venting, but our green Alpine looks great.
