This isn't true. You missed our Clinique discussions.

By the way, ladies (and gentlemen, if you're interested), I have found a new
cosmetics counter. It's called BeneFits. I don't know if you can find this
outside of California. It has got ALL the latest hip trends.

I went there before Nationals to prepare for the awards banquet. Of course,
I approached the counter looking like my normal ol' self. For those of you
who don't know me very well, if I brush my hair, I'm dressing up. If I wear
any other shoes besides Birkenstocks, then you know I'm trying to impress
somebody.

The only event of the year where I even dress up at all is for the awards
banquets in Topeka. I couldn't even do this once a month. For one thing, if
I laugh really hard, I cry (and snort, too, but that's another story), and
then all this goop would fall into my face. What a nightmare.

Back to my tale: I think the "Technician" looked at me as some sort of
project. I know she was thinking, "I see Commission." She wore all black and
a white cowboy hat. She kept calling me strange pet names, a la, "Okay, Miss
Girl, have yourself a seat." I told her my tale, where I was going, why,
and exactly what I wanted.

She said, "Oh, cool! So, are you going to be like the girl who kisses all
the winners?"

And I said, "Girlfriend, I AM gonna be the winner!"

Anyway, because of this incredibly rude assumption on her part, I didn't buy
EVERYTHING. I needed to save my money to buy George Doganis lap dances,
anyway (strategy is EVERYTHING).

Nonetheless, BeneFits is the makeup counter for when you really want to make
a big splash, and I highly recommend it. It's like, Clinique is where you go
when you want to hide your face behind goop, and BeneFits is where you go
when you want your face to glow in the dark.

So, Doug, I just wanted to clue you on another thread. Feel free to
contribute to this lively discussion at any time.

Katie K.
