L98 high Idle problem

 If the car has high miles you might check the throttle body again,  the 
bushing
 on the side that hold the butterfly in place get worn out  and the holds the 
butterfly
 open a little bit, and then it seems to seat!  if that is the problem 
rebuild the body with brass bushings. several places will do this for you.  :)
