Well, speaking as a technician for many years and an autocrosser for a while
as well. I will tell you a well tuned car will make more power and run
smoother. Maximizing the "burn" in each cylinder will make more power by
utilizing all the power stored in the fuel. Engines are not very efficient
in stock form(yes there getting better) but compromises are made at every
turn. If you can use all of the fuel after mixing it completely with the
maximum air charge you can get in the cylinder you will make more power.
That said there is a New company opening in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Guess
what they make?
Sparkplugs!!! A new plug design!!!! On the Dyno(AKA lying with machines
:) ) A NASCAR engine went up 7hp with the plugs as the only change.
Emissions drop dramatically (burn more of the fuel mixture).
The engine should make more power. Want more info? Look at
www.halosparkplug.com . As far as I know I just got the only four in
existence for a Rotary, but I have a local source most other engines.
