How about just south of New England? It's called Formula Motorsports
Park, and it's outside the Philadelphia area, just north of PA turnpike
exit 22, Morgantown, I believe. Check it out, they have a web site
www.formulaclub.com which has a diagram of the site, and some
membership stuff. The double road course is cut out of the woods. I
walked it at an open house they had a few years ago, plus got to meet
Mario Andretti, who was unbelievably nice and spoke with me for a
few minutes, as I had thoughts about becoming a DAG for a race team.
The road course has a nice corkscrew on the west course, turns 3,4 & 5
(if you look at the diagram, the numbers on the track sides indicate
elevation) There is a 15 ACRE AUTOCROSS LOT, go-kart tracks, concours
lawn, garages, car wash, club house, pool, etc...sounds great, eh?
The down side has been the wait :-(
It's been in the works for a few years now. There are almost 2000
members who have put their money down, including me and lots of folks
I know. They now have their permits, but are still looking to secure
funding. I've got my fingers crossed...
