I think I've heard the good ESP M3's have around 260 torque (at it's peak)
and around 3100 lbs including driver. I don't know what the ring and pinion
gear and 1st or 2nd gear ratios are, but they would have to be 9.6 (i.e. 3.0
ring and pinion ratio and 3.2 1st gear ratio AND the driver would have to be
dumb enough to stay in 1st gear) to match the .8 effective torque/weight
ratio I was running at the Lemoore ProSolo.

Assuming they were running more like a 2.0 2nd gear ratio, it's no contest
on pure power.

So that leaves this issue. And I wonder if "slightly" is an understatement
(and why).

For a drag race start, a lower hp, lower weight car can keep up with a
higher hp, higher weight car given similar power/weight ratios; but, once
aerodynamics comes into play

In a ProSolo launch, for non MOd cars, I don't believe the speeds are high
enough for aerodynamics to come into play.
