On a similar note, my brother ran the last Chicago area event with his 99
Dakota RT and did very well. Everyone at the event was suprised by how well
the truck handled considering it's power/torque curve and poor weight
distribution; among other things...
And for his first event he was turning faster times than a few Camaro
SS's...while running the stock RSA's with about 25% tread :)

PS -- The Impala SS with big tires sounds like a fun car... a little big for
an autocross, but it could be quite fun. Just don't expect to beat the
ponycars. :-)
