        The "ban" is based on a factory announcment of unsafe harnesses. If the
only restraint in a car is a recalled harness, and the SCCA has already
mandated that they not be permitted at "any SCCA-sanctioned event", the
recourse is pretty clear. It's simple, do not allow a possitively identified
safety risk at an event. MOMO issued the recall and stressed the unsafe
nature of the faulty belts. That's pretty clear. It would be prudent to
enforce it, it would be foolhardy to ignore it.
