lube to use on a piston, when it is installed into a disc brake caliper . I
am puting together one that has the parking brake built in and we play hell
getting the piston to turn, trying to get it started on the threaded part of
the park brake mechanism. The car is a 86 Acura Legend that belongs to my
broke son (no $$$$$ to speak of)

All my Prelude manuals say to lubricate the piston in brake fluid before
inserting it into the cylinder. The silicon grease is used to help seat the
piston seals, and the "paste" you mentioned about is probably anti-squeal
compound that gets applied to the back of the brake pads.
