You haven't been to a local autocross in St. Louis then.... lots of every day
driven cars there., I'd be willing to estimate 50-75% of all our entrants drive
their cars just about every day.

That's an even worse argument than whatever preceded it. Of the cars I
see at an autocross, a whole bunch only escape their garage on occasional
Sundays. Very, very few are high mileage, 12-month-a-year cars.
