Hi all. I just signed up to the list to see what is ahppening over the
pond. I'm from the UK. I use a Westfield SEiGHT in sprints and hillclimbs.
That is our equivalent of Solo I and Solo II.
I was hoping to pick up some advice on R type tyres for my car. Currently I
run in a class where they are not allowed so I use Bridgestone S-03s. Next
year I'm thinking of running in a higher and far less popular class. As not
many people play there in Westfields there is no precedent to follow with
regards to tyres. The car is 650kg (1430lb) with a 4.2 litre Rover V8 (same
as the BOP) putting out 280HP. Weight distribution is about 51F/49R and I
run 15" wheels.
I was thinking of Avon ACB10, Kumho V700 Ecsta, BF Goodrich Comp TA K/D,
Hooiser AS03 or Yoko A032R or A048 if they intoruduce them in my size this
winter. I thought the Kumho's were supposed to be particularly good but
haven't scoured the web I'm now not so sure.
