I used the baseball bat method on the 93 but it did take off some paint (in a non visible place). Bill Herron actually used tin snips to angle cut the fender lip and than used pliers and a towel to bend the fender lip up and away. I only use my BFH (a 20 lb long handled sledge) for things like ball joints and spindles.
