Hey gang, I'm starting on the body work. Got some good advice from Rick
at High Tech Coating on painting. I'm trying to get him to write an
article for us on paint and painting. (If you don't know much and want to
learn something about it check out the article in the technical section,
under General Articles, Body work, Painting and Body work, on my Morgan
web page:
http://www.team.net/www/morgan/Tech/art009.html
You may also want to look around at some of the other general articles.
There is a lot of good info up there. I've been working on those articles
for over 10 years.
Now I have a questions for those of you that have done this before or are
ahead of me in your restoration. The back deck (where the tail lights mount)
is glued to the quarter panels and the trunk floor. That much is fine. My
question is on the outside there is a seam. That seam is filled with
something. I'm not sure if it is glue or what, but it is cracking. I'm
thinking about trying to get it out, and put some new stuff in its place.
So what is it, how do (did) you get it out, and what did you put in it's
place?
